What is it?
Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is a parenting program designed to prevent and treat behavioral and emotional problems in children. Triple P helps parents learn strategies that promote children’s social competence and self-regulation. These strategies also increase parents’ confidence and enhance their ability to handle the everyday stresses of raising children. Triple P practitioners are trained to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for parents to improve their parenting skills.
What is the evidence base?
Parents in Triple P demonstrate improvements in parenting skills and a reduction in parental depression and stress. Children in Triple P have fewer behavioral and emotional problems.
