Advocacy 201

December 14, 9:30 – 11 a.m. CT

Mary Graham, President of United Ways of Tennessee, will build on the learnings from Advocacy 101 and empower your organization to implement strategies that will be effective in achieving your advocacy goals. We will also be joined by special guest, Senator Bo Watson, who will offer tips for advocates from a legislator’s perspective.

Past trainings

Advocacy 101

Hear from Katie Growden, Tennessee State Manager for Save the Children Action Network, about the basics of advocacy and Tennessee’s government structure. You’ll learn why you should use your voice to speak up for kids and what kinds of messages and tactics work best. There will be a focus on what C3 organizations can and can’t do when it comes to advocacy. This session will lay the foundation for the Advocacy 201 training.
