We urge all Tennessee early care and education advocates to take a close look at the recent primary election results. Knowing who’s running to be your state policymakers is the first step in making your voice heard for children.
While elections for state legislators won’t be final until the general election on November 5, a quick review of the primary winners will set you up to be an informed voter in November.
And on that point of being an informed voter, we encourage you to ask the candidates where they stand on important questions: Are they aligned with Tennessee voters about the importance of investments in our young children? Will they be an early childhood champion?
Check out our post “Know Before You Vote” to see four questions to ask the candidates. Also you can find info there about your voting location and other voter info.
As advocates, we’re much more effective when we’re informed and engaged in the election of our state policymakers. Thanks for being a loud voice for little kids in Tennessee!
