What is it?
New York City (NYC) Community Schools focus on improving student achievement by providing services and programs that support the whole child and their families. These supports include services and programs like health care, mentoring, tutoring, and extracurricular activities. Each NYC Community School is paired with a Community Based Organization partner that works with the school leadership team to carry out the services at the school.
