Tennessee Works When Families Thrive
The Tennessee Business + Family Forum engages the state’s business community to shape smart state policies on child care and early learning — while helping employers turn family-friendly workplace solutions into competitive advantages. Through original research, employer services, policy advocacy, and a growing statewide network, TBFF is building the business case and the business coalition for Tennessee’s children and families.
What we do
Policy Advocacy & Engagement
We organize the business community’s voice to shape smart state policy on child care, early learning, and workforce strategy — coordinating employer testimony, chamber advocacy letters, and direct legislator engagement.
Research & Insights
We produce original research — including The Child Care Advantage, the first statewide report documenting how Tennessee employers invest in child care — and translate findings into practical intelligence for business leaders.
Employer Services
We help employers move from awareness to action: introductory presentations, educational webinars, hands-on workshops, design labs for employers building child care solutions, and tailored consulting.
Network & Community
We convene a peer network of Tennessee business leaders — monthly programming with national experts, exclusive quarterly convenings, signature events, and direct engagement with the policymakers shaping the landscape.
Our Anchor Partners: Chambers of Commerce Across the State
A growing number of chambers of commerce across our great state are core partners – as the critical voice of business in their communities.
Chambers choose how to engage: signing onto policy positions, distributing the employer survey, co-hosting events, and sharing TBFF resources with their members.
Now Building Our Founders Circle
TBFF is assembling a founding network of Tennessee business leaders committed to ensuring the business community is organized, informed, and activated around child care, early learning, and family-supportive workforce policy.
