2024 TCAP Scores are IN!

There’s progress on 3rd grade reading and math proficiency, but still a long way to go.

TQEE’s north star is 3rd grade reading and math proficiency. That’s because it’s a well-documented and crucial benchmark for future academic and life success. Children who are not proficient in reading and math by the end of third grade are more likely to experience compounding difficulties in later grades, making it increasingly challenging to catch up.

The good news is both are up across the state by a hair. Yet still, about 60% of our young kiddos still aren’t getting what they need to succeed.

Tackling the challenge starts with good data. So take a look at our new interactive chart to see how your local school district is doing and consider what other supports are needed to help our children thrive.
